Episode 2: Hindsight is 20/20 [Audio/Action]
[The first time was forgiveable. Even after the incident in Sternbild over the Christmas of 1978 (which he had never gotten to experience before he was spirited away to the beach on the other side of the enclosure last spring), Barnaby was able to find it within himself to accept the small degree of good that came with the emotionally jarring effects of the invasion from last month. It was a lie, he knew, but for a few days there he felt like he had something normal.
That itself bothered him to no end. He couldn't accept it, but...
He had found a few friends for a change.
The most recent incident, however, was a repeated offense. It wasn't the result of the actions of any tertiary parties, like last month. No, this had to be the Management toying with them again, for whatever the reason that Barnaby didn't care to investigate. The few acquaintances he had made over the months had forgotten about him -- and Luceti -- entirely.
That was the true offense.
But, even through his anger, a part of him wondered if this was how Kotetsu felt on that blisteringly cold day last December (the one he had missed, remember?).
To forget. To be forgotten.
Barnaby would never allow that to happen again.]
[Late in the afternoon Barnaby tossed open the journal that he periodically ignored and, for once, decided to openly speak his mind.]
If everyone is done now, I'm heading out.
[With that he flipped the book shut. No, he won't be responding to any replies for a while.
Instead, he could be found in Good Spirits for the night. He had things he needed to think about and notes to reorganize. Perhaps a drink (or three) might help him settle down a little.
The odds of that were nil.]

He's being quite careful not to spill a drop on the other patrons, but the sound of glass meeting wood over and over again might become annoying after a few minutes. If the humming doesn't reach that point first, of course.]

Oh wait.Barnaby isn't the only one in need of a few drinks, that much is for certain. Richard had been doing well at not drowning his sorrows at the bar too often lately, but in his eyes that last experiment warranted a few drinks... which he couldn't have during said experiment, because he'd been 12.
All the more reason to make up for it now.
Barnaby is the only patron he recognizes tonight; when he spots the other blond, he heads straight over for the empty seat next to him and gives the man a faint smile.]
Mind if I sit down?

I hope you're okay...if you need some time alone, I understand. [She doesn't know the details, but that was sort of curt for making a broadcast over the network like that.]

action;
After entering the building, he sought out a seat, which so happened to be by the bespectacled blondie. Hand on the free chair, he tilted it back and pulled it out before asking if he could have it.]
Care if I sit here?
